Honey Harvest at Metalica with Kids from Tyršova Elementary School
The Metalica office building at Nová Waltrovka recently hosted a truly unique experience – this summer’s honey harvest.
Under the guidance of experienced beekeeper Augustin Uváčik, children learned about the fascinating world of bees and the process of honey production. They saw first-hand how honey is collected from the hives located right on the building’s rooftop, discovered why bees are such a vital part of our ecosystem, and even tasted fresh honey straight from the comb.
The event was not only fun and educational, but – we hope – also thoroughly enjoyable for the children. Metalica once again demonstrated that modern office buildings can be more than just workplaces – they can serve as spaces for community, learning, and inspiration for both children and adults alike.
A focus on sustainability, the integration of natural elements into the urban environment, and openness towards the community are all part of the Nová Waltrovka philosophy. Through initiatives like this, children and adults gain a deeper understanding of the importance of protecting the environment while enjoying shared experiences in the inspiring setting of a modern office building.
